Program Sekolah Gratis diinisiasi tahun 2020 lalu oleh PKBM Bakti Nusa
di Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat
Data Bappenas 2019 menunjukan 4,4 Juta anak putus sekolah dan tidak sekolah,
Tahun 2021 KPAID menyatakan angka putus sekolah naik 30% dari tahun sebelumnya dampak dari Pademi Covid 19.
Program Sekolah Gratis PKBM Bakti Nusa kini telah menampung 1500 anak putus sekolah dan mereka melanjutkan pendidikan gratis hingga terima ijazah untuk warga belajar berusia 7th hingga 21 tahun saat mendaftar.
PKBM Bakti Nusa didukung oleh berbagai lembaga peduli pendidikan diantaranya: Ansor, Banser, SOS Children Village Indonesia, Asosiasi Pesantren, rekan2 media Jurnalis Satu & PWI serta masih banyak lagi.
3 Agustus 2022 lalu, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Jenderal Purn Dr Moeldoko bersama Direktorat PMPK Kemendikbudristek menyerahkan ijazah kepada lulusan Sekolah Gratis PKBM Bakti Nusa
