Dengan pemerataan harga dan pendapatan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya beli dan daya jual penduduk, termasuk untuk anak rantau yang notabene merantau ke kota lain demi mendapatkan pendidikan yang lebih baik tetapi pendapatan tempat asalnya lebih rendah daripada kota tempat kuliah, sehingga sangat sulit untuk hidup. Contohnya di jakarta menjadi daerah yang memiliki biaya hidup per bulan termahal di Indonesia sehingga pasti sulit untuk penduduk dari daerah dengan pendapatan di bawah jakarta sulit untuk menyesuaikan dan bertahan hidup.
