Sektor UMKM merupakan penopang ekonomi kerakyatan yang melibatkan puluhan juta pelaku usaha. Juga menghubungkan banyak pihak mulai dari produsen, distributor, pemasok bahan baku, pemasaran.
Sudah terbukti sektor UMKM ini memiliki daya lenting yang kuat untuk bertahan dalam kondisi paling berat sekalipun.
Perhatian yang sangat besar dari Negara layak diberikan secara sungguh-sungguh mulai dari aspek permodalan, SDM, kualitas produk dan jasa yang dihasilkan, jaringan pemasaran & promosi, serta tentunya pembinaan dari pemerintah mulai pusat dan daerah.
Perlu dirumuskan strategi yang efektif untuk mewujudkan hal ini sehingga bisa terasa manfaatnya oleh para pelaku UMKM
